All About Shipping

I want you to feel confident that your order will arrive reasonably quickly, and in the condition we both expect. I also understand your desire for economical and reliable shipping.

Therefore, I have selected DHL as the best available option. All orders are shipped from Germany, with tracking, using DHL Standard Shipping. If you would like to order shipment to a country outside the regions listed below, or require premium expedited shipping, please contact me.

I appreciate that you might be looking for cheaper or even free postage, but once I add in all the packaging and the time it takes to pack your orders, I would realize a loss on almost all items I sell. I have looked at all the options available to me as a tiny business, and this continues to be the best option.

When will your order be shipped?

Please understand that I am a one-woman business, and as such I must devote time to creating my art, in addition to making my products, selling, packing and shipping orders, handling communications, and so forth.

Germany and the European Union

I endeavor to ship your purchase within 24 hours of receipt of the order. If I expect to be unable to ship your purchase within two days, there will be a notice on every page of my store to that effect.

The rest of the world

I strive to ship your purchase within 48 hours of receipt of the order, though it may take a day longer if your country requires especially complex customs forms. If I expect to be unable to ship your purchase within three days, there will be a notice on every page of my store to that effect.

Packaging

Your order is very carefully packed, to ensure that it is received in the excellent condition in which I expect it to arrive. Smaller orders—such as small prints and greeting cards—are usually shipped flat or boxed, with extra protection to ensure they remain undamaged. Larger items, such as medium and large prints, are mailed in robust tubes. I usually combine orders into the largest package, whenever practical. Calendars may be shipped flat or in tubes.

DHL note as of October, 2024: “Due to changes in air freight regulations, there may be transit time delays.”
Also: The stressed US Postal Service is making strides in revamping its services under the Delivering for America plan, and states it is “Ready to Deliver for the Holidays.” That said, please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.
Canada 7-11 workdays
Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, US Minor Outlying Islands) 10-20 workdays

Import and Customs (Outside the European Union)

If your order is being shipped outside the European Union, please remember that you or your recipient may incur import/custom tax charges when your order arrives. If charges are assessed, it is your responsibility to pay them, as every location is slightly different. We cannot refund any additional import charges you may have to pay when your item arrives.
